Terms of service

By placing an order with Pirate Transfers, you agree to the following terms.

Self-Service Printing

Pirate Transfers is a self-service custom printing service. Customers are responsible for preparing, reviewing, sizing, and submitting their artwork correctly before placing an order.

Pirate Transfers prints the artwork submitted by the customer. Unless specifically agreed upon, we do not proof, correct, resize, enhance, spell-check, remove backgrounds, or otherwise modify submitted artwork before production.

Artwork and File Quality

Customers are responsible for ensuring submitted artwork is suitable for printing.

For best results, artwork should be high-resolution, properly sized, and have the correct transparent background where applicable.

Pirate Transfers is not responsible for problems contained within customer-submitted files, including:

  • Low-resolution or pixelated artwork

  • Incorrect dimensions or sizing

  • Unwanted backgrounds or transparency

  • Spelling or design errors

  • Poor-quality source files

  • Incorrect image placement

  • Extremely small or fine details that cannot reproduce properly

  • Other issues present in the submitted artwork

Submitting an order confirms that you have reviewed and approved the artwork for production.

Gang Sheets

Customers using Pirate Transfers' gang sheet builder, automatic gang sheet tools, or other layout features are responsible for reviewing the final layout before ordering.

The size, quantity, placement, orientation, and quality of the artwork should be verified before checkout.

Pirate Transfers will produce the gang sheet based on the file or layout submitted.

Color Reproduction

Pirate Transfers uses professional digital printing equipment designed to reproduce a wide range of colors. However, printed colors may differ from what appears on a phone, computer monitor, tablet, or other display.

Screen calibration, artwork color profiles, file formats, inks, materials, and the printing process can all affect final color appearance.

Unless a specific color-matching service has been expressly agreed upon, Pirate Transfers does not guarantee exact Pantone, brand, or screen-to-print color matching.

Transfer Application

Customers are responsible for following the current application instructions provided by Pirate Transfers.

Actual results can be affected by the heat press, garment, material, temperature, pressure, pressing time, peeling method, and other variables outside the control of Pirate Transfers.

We recommend testing transfers before beginning large production runs.

Pirate Transfers is not responsible for garments or other products damaged during transfer application.

Artwork Ownership and Permission

By submitting artwork to Pirate Transfers, you represent that you own the artwork or have the legal right, license, or permission necessary to reproduce it.

You authorize Pirate Transfers to reproduce the submitted artwork solely as necessary to fulfill your order.

Pirate Transfers is not responsible for determining ownership of customer-submitted artwork.

Prohibited Orders

Pirate Transfers reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order when we reasonably believe the artwork or requested use violates applicable law, intellectual property rights, or our business policies.

If an order is canceled by Pirate Transfers before production for this reason, any appropriate refund will be issued according to the circumstances of the order.

Production and Turnaround Times

Production and turnaround estimates represent the time required to produce an order and do not include carrier transit time unless specifically stated.

While Pirate Transfers works to meet advertised turnaround times, circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally cause delays.

Order Acceptance

Pirate Transfers reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or refund an order when necessary due to pricing errors, technical problems, equipment issues, suspected fraud, prohibited content, or other circumstances that prevent us from reasonably fulfilling the order.

Refunds and Reprints

Because Pirate Transfers products are custom manufactured, purchases are generally final.

Eligibility for refunds, replacements, and reprints is governed by the Pirate Transfers Return and Refund Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pirate Transfers' responsibility for a defective or incorrectly produced order is limited to the affected transfers or the amount paid for the affected portion of the order.

Pirate Transfers is not responsible for the cost of garments, apparel, merchandise, labor, lost production time, lost sales, lost profits, or other consequential costs resulting from the use or application of our transfers.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

Pirate Transfers may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version in effect when an order is placed will apply to that order.

By completing a purchase from Pirate Transfers, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to these Terms of Service.
